Q:
How do I become a member?
A:
Visit yipehype.com and in click the red icon in the upper right hand of the home- page that says Login/Resister. You will be taken to the registration page where you must submit a valid email address. You will be asked to create your username, what category you want to belong to, and your password. We require an email in case you lose forget your password. We will notify you by email when your account has been reset

Does it cost anything to post/setup my talent profile?
A:
No, there is no charge to post or setup your profile. You can navigate the site freely.

Where are the categories listed?
A:
From the left-hand side of the home-page you can access the categories. Categories are also accessible along the upper half of the homepage between the “Audition” header and the “User Groups” heading. The categories are generally accessible along the left-hand side of the site from most pages on the site except in your profile pages

Q:
Do I have to be a member to watch all this great talent?
A:
No, you do not. If you would like to become a member to promote your own talent, simply follow the steps in Question #2.

Can I post a comment if I am not a member?

No, you must be a member to do so

What are the user groups all about, and how do I make one?
A:
The “User Groups” are for similar types of videos. You can designate your own videos as private so that only your friends can view them. To create your own “User Group,” make sure that you are logged in. From the upper right of the home-page in the “My Stuff” box, click My Account. From there you’ll see a user group icon along the right side. Click it. On “Groups” page you’ll see a “Create your own Group” heading along the top. Click that and follow the steps to create your own group. Choose public to allow everyone to see your video, or private if you don’t want everyone to see it. Click on submit when you are finished.

How do I join a group?
A:
From the top of the homepage click “User Groups” where you will be taken to another page. Once inside the “Groups” page, click on the video you like and a new page will appear. Under Group Details on the right side of the page you will see “Join this group.” Click on it and you will then see a bright orange bar that notifies you that you’ve joined the group.

How do I change my bio page?
A:
From the right-hand side in the “My Stuff” box click on My Profile. You will see the details that you have included about yourself. Along the left, under the categories box you can select options to change your password, email, or close your account.

How do I receive invites from other members?
A:
Go to the “My stuff” section located in the top right hand corner of the page. Click on “may friends”. Then click on the “community” section located under the “my stuff” section. Click on “Invites received”. This will tell you if you have any new invites.

Where do I find my incoming email?
A:
Locate the “My stuff” section in the top right section of your screen. The quantity of new mail will be shown next to “My in-box.” Click on “My in-box,” this will take you to the internal yipehype mail.

What is the “My stuff” all about?
A:
The "My stuff" section is where all your personal information is located. Only you can view this. This is the section where you can change your bio page and upload all new videos.

What is a “super fan” and why would I use it?
A:
Super fan is a section where the general public can interact with their favourite yipehype future star. This is where you can help promote upcoming stars.

Why are there agencies on the site?
A:
Agencies are on the site because although this site is set up to let you promote yourself, the truth is that some people are not comfortable with doing their own promotion. For that reason you can learn what various agencies have to offer and get feedback from others about the agencies they’ve been to.

If I want to find someone’s talent, how do I find him or her?
A:
Type their video or bio page title into yipehype’s search bar located under the header.

Where do I sign out?
A:
The sign-out link is located at the bottom of the categories section on the left hand side of your page.

What does the “invite your friends” do?
A:
Invite your friends allows you to invite your friends to view yipehype. Put in your friend’s name and e-mail address then hit the “send e-mail invitation” button.

Can I post a bio page if I do not have any video yet?
A:
Absolutely, you can upload pictures. Keep in mind we highly encourage you to up load a video when you get a chance. Show off as much of your talent as you can.

How do I upload a video?
A:
After creating a video and uploading it to your computer make sure you know the folder that it is stored in. On the yipehype.com site click the upload link which is located at the top of the page. Or you can click upload video from the “your account” section. You’ll be asked to fill in a series of questions. Once you’ve filled in your information you’ll be asked to locate the video on your computer.

Can people see my video if they are not a member?
A:
Yes, yipehype feels that everyone should have a chance to see what you have to offer.

Can I use yipehype to have people check me out for employment?
A:
Yes, just tell people that you are on yipehype and with out being a member they can view what you have to offer. We will store all your talent footage, all you have to do is tell people where you are.

What does “code for your web-site” mean?
A:
You can copy the code so that you can paste it onto the page of another websites.

How do I add a video to my favourites?
A:
Go to the video you want to add and click on add to favourites.

If a video offends me, how do I report it?
A:
This is very important to yipehype that we get rid of offensive footages. Next to the video there is a section called “video details” on the right hand side of your screen. Click on “Report Abuse” and our team will review the video.

How do I find the bio page of a video?
A:
You can type the person’s name in the search bar under the header. Or, next to the video under the “video details” section on the right hand side of your screen. There is a purple section that will say “Submitted by------- click here to see -------- bio page and videos.” Click here to look at their bio page.

Can I link back to my web site on yipehype?
A:
Yes, on the bio page you will find a “User details” section located on the bottom right of the bio page. Under the “more details” section you will find a place to put a link back to your web site so that people can see more information about you.

Do I have to put personal information on my bio page?
A:
No, you can put as much or as little information as you like.

Do I have to submit my videos or can I put other artists on my bio page?
A:
No, due to copyright laws you must upload your video.

Q:
How do I get an image to show up in a thumbnail on the category page.
A:
You can upload a video, photo, or audio clip to have a thumbnail picture on the category page. Otherwise your name will be listed in the member area. Uploading media is a great way to show off your commercial or give the world a sample of your talent.

Where do I find all the auditions?
A:
On the homepage in the menu bar at the top between “Home” and “categories” you will see the “Audition” header. Click It to go to the audition page

Does it cost anything to audition for a part?
A:
No, it is free to apply to or submit a video for an audition, part, role, or casting

Q:
What does “select paying only” mean?
A:
If you are very eager and don’t mind taking a job for the experience then you might be okay with accepting a non-paying role. If you will only work for pay then you’ll want paid only. In the header that contains Audition type, Category, Role etc, you’ll find the “Paid” header on the right side of the table. In this column you’ll be able to see if the roles are paid or non-paying.

How do I upload a video for an audition?
A:
There are 3 ways to o so:
Method 1
1. Log in
2. Go to the audition section on the home page and click on “Auditions”
3. From the audition page choose the audition that you are interested in
4. Click where it says “Click to submit your video”
5. Choose “Submit this for audition”
6. Confirm that you want to send that video
7. You are ready to apply to more auditions
Method 2
1. Log in
2. Go to the “Audition Zone" and click on the casting call you'd like to check out
3. Click on "Click to submit your video"
4. If you have already uploaded videos to your profile please go to your profile and choose the video you want to submit and on the bottom right of that video click "submit this for audition"
5. If you are satisfied that this is the video you'd like to send click "OK”
6. You can return to check out the other casting calls
7. You are ready to apply to more auditions
Method 3
HOW TO APPLY TO AN AUDITION FROM WITHIN THE AUDITION PAGE
1. From the home page, click “Audition”
2. Choose the category you are interested in
3. Under the "Audition Type" heading, decide which audition you like and go to the far right under the "Applied" heading
4. Click the value in “Applied” column. It will show how many people have submitted videos to that particular project. It also shows how many videos are being accepted in total, so time may be of the essence.
5. From your profile, choose the video you would like to submit by clicking “submit this for audition” found at the bottom right of your video
6. Click “OK”
7. You are ready to apply to more auditions
HOW TO APPLY TO AN AUDITION IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY UPLOADED VIDEOS TO YOUR YIPEHYPE PROFILE
1. Film yourself in order to meet the requirements of the audition that you are applying f
2. Upload your file to your computer
3. In the "My Stuff" box on the top right of the homepage click "Upload Video"
4. Locate the video file on your computer and prepare to upload to your yipehype profile
5. You will be given a choice of Public or Private video. For the auditions choose Private
6. Click “Next”
7. Once you know where your file is on your computer click “choose file”
8. Click ‘Upload.” Your video will appear in your profile once we processes your upload
9. Go to the “Audition Zone" and click on the casting call you'd like to check out
10. Click on "Click to submit your video"
11. If you have already uploaded videos to your profile please go to your profile and choose the video you want to submit and on the bottom right of that video click "submit this for audition"
12. If you are satisfied that this is the video you'd like to send click "OK”
13. You can return to check out the other casting calls
14. You are ready to apply to more auditions

Can I make a new video for the audition, or can I use the video I have?
A:
Since the company or casting director might be looking for something different it is up to you to find out what they are looking for and then respond accordingly

How do I post an audition or casting?
A:
Please use the following steps as a company or person looking to host an audition
1. Login and select “My auditions” from the “My Stuff “ category on the home page
2. Click “Create an audition
3. Fill out the details of your audition. The more details you put, the better your talent will understand their duties
4. Click “Next”
5. You will be taken back to the yipehype page where you can control your auditions
6. You can buy more slots, see who has applied, or stop the audition process. This folder is private so only those with the password can view them
7. You are ready to create more auditions

Does it cost me to post an audition to find talent?
A:
Yes, it does. The rates vary depending on the volume so please read the price chart on the audition creation page. The average price is $.50/person

How long does and audition last for?
A:
A Auditions will generally last 30 – 60 days. Read the audition details carefully so that you do not miss the deadline.

Do I need to be a member to audition for a part?

Yes, you cannot post a video without one. It is free to create a profile that allows you to audition.

Yes, if they know your username or title of your video they can search for you in the search bar.

No, your audition is private and only viewable by the company or person holding the audition

No, yipehype does not guarantee that anyone will get a part. Candidate selection is strictly up to the person or company holding the audition

How would the person holding the audition get a hold of me?

They could contact you using the yipehype’s internal email system

If I’m only looking for a band mate can I use the audition service?
A:
As long as you have a yipehype membership you can post an audition to look for band mates

What does ‘deadline, paid, applied” in the heading mean?
A:
Deadline is the date that all submissions must be in by. Paid means that the successful candidate will be compensated by money. Applied means the number of people that have submitted videos to that particular casting or audition

How many auditions can I hold at one time?
A:
As many as you would like provided that each audition is for a different project.

How many people can I have applying to each audition?
A:
You can have a minimum of 20 people. The first 10 people are free. You can have upwards of 10,000 people

Where do I find categories in the auditions?
A:
The category list is near the upper portion of the audition page, just under “All current auditions” header

What if I paid for much more auditions than I needed?
A:
You should choose carefully when considering how many people you want to see. You can always go with a lower number and then increasing the amount of auditionees later in the process.
